Paige Green


Paige Green is entering her first season as the head girl’s basketball coach for the Oak Ridge Lady Wildcats.  She is not new to Oak Ridge High School as she in in her 6th year as a School Counselor at ORHS.  Coach Green takes over the Lady Wildcat program with two years of coaching experience along with 5 years of coaching AAU.

Coach Green, formally Paige Redman, is originally from Cleveland, TN where she was a standout basketball player at Bradley Central High School.  She led her team in scoring all three years of high school and finished her career with 2,251 points in those three years.  She led her team to top 10 USA Today national rankings during her junior and senior seasons and they finished 2nd in the state her senior year.   Coach Green was a two time all-state player, a Miss Basketball finalist and a NIKE All-American her senior year.  She was selected to play in the Tennessee-Pennsylvania All-Star game,  the Tennessee-Georgia All-Star game and the NIKE All-American game her senior year.  Coach Green was named MVP of the TN-GA game.  Her jersey is retired at Bradley Central.  Coach Green also played AAU basketball for three years for Rick Insell (now head women’s basketball coach at MTSU) with the Shelbyville Sport Shop.  Her team finished 2nd in the nationals two years in a row and she was named an AAU All-American in 1993.  Following high school, Coach Green played college basketball at Vanderbilt University where she played in 3 NCAA tournaments going as far as the Elite 8.  She was a four year player at Vanderbilt where she played both the point guard and the shooting guard positions and still holds three point records.  While at Vanderbilt Coach Green was a two-time Academic All-SEC player.

Coach Green graduated from Vanderbilt University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science in Human and Organizational Development.  In 2000, she received a Masters of Education in General Administrative Leadership also from Vanderbilt University.  After working for a few years, Coach Green went back to school and received a Masters of Education in School Counseling from Lincoln Memorial University in 2005.

Paige Green and her husband, Aaron,  have two children.  Kannon, their daughter, is 11 and in the 5th grade at JMS.  Their son, Kutler, is 6 and in Kindergarten at Glenwood.  Kannon and Kutler will serve as team managers for the Lady Wildcats.
