Chris Geron begins his fourth season as a TN Fury boys head coach. In 2013, Chris’ 5th grade team finished in 3rd place at the TN State AAU Championship while playing-up in the 6th grade division. Chris’ 2013 team also was the first Fury boys team to qualify and participate in the AAU nationals, competing in Cocoa Beach, FL. In 2014, Chris’ 6th grade team finished in 2nd place at the TN State AAU Championship.

Since 2007, Chris has also been head coach for boys and girls youth basketball teams winning league championships in the KYS, WBBL and CBFO youth organizations. In 2011 and 2013, Chris led youth boys teams to 1st place in the Knoxville City Championship.

Chris is a strong believer in teaching game strategy and defensive fundamentals. He works with his players to identify improvement areas and pushes his players to take advantage of their opportunities, both on and off of the court. Chris also enjoys the challenge of blending player strengths to maximize team output.

Chris grew up in Ohio where he played high school basketball and intercollegiate golf. He moved to Knoxville in 2004 and lives in Farragut with his wife Robyn and children Emma and Robby. Chris is a Vice President of Compliance at Elavon.
