Charlie begins his third year as a TN Fury boys coach. For the past 2 years, he has served as assistant coach with Chris Geron. In 2013, the 5th grade team finished 3rd in the AAU Tennessee state championships playing up in the 6th grade division and went on to play in the 5th grade AAU Nationals in Cocoa Beach. In 2014, the 6th grade team finished in 2nd place at the AAU Tennessee state championship.

Since 2007, Charlie has been the head coach of several local youth basketball and baseball teams. His teams have won multiple championships in local youth organizations. His Sevierville Crush team went 41-1 over a three year span in the Sevierville Junior League basketball organization winning 3 large school championships.

Charlie is a native of Sevier County. He is a graduate of Sevier County High School where he played baseball for 4 years. He holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee and a masters degree in medicine from Trevecca University.
He is a physician assistant with Summit Medical group and specializes in internal medicine. He has an extensive background and interest in sports performance, strength and speed training. He is a former state powerlifting champion and holds several records in the squat and deadlift.

Charlie and his wife Shawntal have two boys, Luke and Eli. They live in Sevierville, TN.
